Accessible Anttolanhovi

We believe it’s important that everyone feels welcome and comfortable at Anttolanhovi. Accessibility is an essential part of our operations.

Our hotel’s public areas are fully accessible, and we offer 14 accessible rooms: five single rooms and nine double rooms, located across two floors. There is an elevator in the lobby and a ramp on the lower floor, providing smooth wheelchair access to the rooms.

Our accessible rooms are specifically designed with wheelchair users in mind. The room door is 90 cm wide and there are no thresholds. Light switches are placed lower than usual, and the power outlets are at the same level with them. The bed height is 52 cm, and the double rooms have separate beds. The bathroom has a sliding door and a support rail that extends from the door to the shower. There are handrails next to the toilet, and the sink is installed at a lower height. The shower also includes a fixed, fold-down seat.

Accessible rooms are available with either lake view or parking area view. Two of the double rooms can be connected via an adjoining door, creating a triple room—an ideal solution for guests traveling with a personal assistant. Additionally, room numbers are tactile and raised for better visibility.

Getting Around the Hotel

There are accessible parking spaces right in front of the main entrance, making arrival by car easy. The hotel yard is paved and flat, allowing for smooth movement around the property. The outdoor area is gently sloped and stair-free, ensuring unobstructed access throughout.

The main entrance doors, restaurant doors, and the sliding door to the covered outdoor walkway are either automated with motion sensors or remain open. For fire safety reasons, the corridor doors inside the hotel must remain closed, but our staff is always happy to assist and hold doors open to ensure easy movement—even with a wheelchair. There are no thresholds at the main entrance or inside the hotel. The doors to hotel rooms, the spa, and the gym are standard outward-opening doors. The main pool is also accessible via a ramp, and the spa area has no stairs.

Accessibility has been considered throughout the property: the main entrance, covered walkway, and room’s key card readers are all positioned at wheelchair-friendly heights. There are three accessible restrooms in the public areas of the hotel, all equipped with emergency cords. One is located upstairs near reception, the second downstairs in the lobby, and the third in the fireplace lounge.

There is a ramp to the lakeside sauna, providing wheelchair access. Entry to the sports hall, restaurant, and meeting rooms are also step-free, ensuring all our events are accessible to everyone.

Villas

Our villas are not fully accessible, but they do offer options for guests traveling with someone who has mild mobility challenges. For example, the 3-bedroom Hillside Villas are well-suited for this need. These villas have only a few steps from the entrance to the lower level, where you’ll find one bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a toilet, a bathroom, and a sauna. Upstairs, there are two additional bedrooms.

The 3-bedroom Lakeside Villas are also a good option for guests with limited mobility, as they have only a few stairs. However, individual differences may exist between villas—for example, Hillside Villas 703 and 704 are designed with step-free yards.

If you need more information about the accessibility of our villas or would like to ensure suitability for specific needs, we are happy to help.
